Howdy friends,
Holidaying with kids & family, lots of family, can be SO much fun, and equally as overwhelming. The good news is that there are natural remedies to help make your travel experience positive, fun and flow. Here are my top Young Living products that accompany me when travelling.
Firstly, you can take liquids on a plane as long as they are under 100mls, which all of the below are. I take them in an essential oils pouch, the pouches from The Kinnes Way are perfect. Click here to check them out!
OILS FROM THE STARTER BUNDLE (don't have a starter bundle? No biggie!! Info on how to get one is below for you):

THIEVES – I take thieves essential oil, thieves spray and sanitiser. Spray Thieves spray on public surfaces and seats to help fend off anything unwanted. Drop Thieves oil on the top of your head and the bottom of your feet each day to help support you and keep you well. I actually do this each day, traveling or not. And sanitiser goes without saying.
LAVENDER – Have on hand at all times for burns, bites, stings, and can easily be combined with coconut or olive oil for a beautiful after sun treatment. Lavender is also amazing to help calm nerves and keep everyone relaxed.
PEPPERMINT – If you are going to somewhere hot, put a drop on the back of your neck for instant cooling. This is great to keep your breath fresh on the plane, and keep you feeling energised and fresh. Peppermint also fends off bugs, ants, flies, mozzies etc, so put it on as a natural aeroguard.
ORANGE AND / OR LEMON: Both of these oils are very uplifting, help you stay focused and happy and are beautiful when added to water for hydration.
FRANKINCENSE: I use frankincense every day to put under my tongue to keep me alert, to help with inflammation and I use it in my meditation practice. It is also beautiful when combined with a carrier oil to keep your skin refreshed and hydrated when travelling.
RC: Stuffy nose from travelling in aeroplanes and also from hotel air-conditioning? Either diffuse or put a drop on your pinky finger and put it inside your nostril. For kids, this can be a little intense so a drop on their clothes that they can inhale during the flight is perfect.
DIGIZE: If you are a very nervous traveller, Digize on your tummy can help those butterflies. Digize is also amazing if you have any tummy upsets while travelling.
VALOR: Again, nerves, tension, all these emotions can arise during travel. Especially if you are travelling due to unfortunate circumstances. Inhaling your Valor oil will help you feel courageous, it was created to help you get through the dark times so breathe it in!!
STRESSAWAY: Self explanatory! Perfect in traffic jams, chaos, kids yelling, whenever you need a stress reliever.
PEACE AND CALMING: When it’s time for rest, when you’re trying to invoke calm, get out your peace & calming. Inhale or put a drop on the bottom of feet.
PANAWAY: Tired legs from lots of walking or stiff from sitting for too long? Don’t forget to apply your Panaway before and after to help you feel free and refreshed.
NINGXIA – I love taking sachets of Ningxia with me, enough for us to each have one per day. This helps to mop up free radicals, helps support us from radiation we were exposed to on the plane, and just keep us energised, healthy and well.
PRODUCTS OUTSIDE THE STARTER BUNDLE:
INNER DEFENCE – If you start to feel unwell at all, having your Inner Defence on hand will help you get on top of that super quick!
HELICHRYSUM – My daughter is prone to nose bleeds as soon as her nose gets dry. Being in an aeroplane is very triggering and a drop of helichrysum on the back of her neck and on her nose stops it bleeding instantly!
Basically, get your starter kit, put all the oils as well as the thieves spray & sanitiser in an oily pouch or toiletry bag and you’ll be covered!!
If you are running out of your starter kit oils, it’s way more cost effective to get yourself and makes way more financial sense to just get a new starter kit. Don’t buy the oils all separately, just sign your partner, mum or dad up with a starter kit (that you will be keeping lol) using your member number as their enroller & sponsor & you will get $65 back from young living as well as the 60% discount you immediately get from buying the bundle. Head to https://www.tsfcollective.com/copy-of-join-the-collective for instructions on how to connect someone. Just remember to put your YL member number as the enroller and sponsor number. Email hello@tsfcollective.com if you need some help.
PS I have recently come across the work of Tom T Moore, who believes in asking his Guardian Angels for guidance and assistance with everyday life. He recommends asking the following: 'I request a most benevolent outcome' and then go on with your request. So tomorrow I will be asking 'I request a most benevolent outcome for my trip to Hamilton Island. May it be relaxing, fun and flow with ease and grace. Thank you'.
Happy travelling!!
Karissa xx
