Lately it feels like everyone I talk to is struggling with sleep. I wanted to drop you a quick blog and let you know a couple of things I am doing that have really helped me with my sleep lately.
The first one is my bedtime routine, and this trickles into my kids bedtime routine. We are such early worms in my house, because I get up super early. But regardless of what time you like to go to bed, it’s important to have a bit of a routine to follow. I like to give the girls a bath just before bed, I find it really helps to settle them down, and also turn the bathroom lights off and just have a salt lamp and a diffuser, and maybe an orange globe wall light so they can see. It is super relaxing and creates a really chilled environment. Add a couple of drops of an essential oil like lavender can also help to make it super chill.
Once the sun goes down, I try and have as little lights and screens on as possible. We aren’t a family who watches the news or much TV, I noticed when my eldest daughter was little that she would have a really terrible night sleep when she watched TV just before bed, so we try and have as many lights off as possible once the sun sets, and just have salt lamps and diffusers going, and maybe a light on in the background so we can see our dinner lol.
I have been totally obsessed with a sleep mask lately, honestly I have the most incredible sleep when I wear it. I love the Manta sleep mask, it has made a world of difference to my sleep.
Have some kind of evening tea like chamomile. I love the Mayde Serenity tea for just before bed. I drink it in the dark with just my reading light and my book to keep me company, I seriously long for that wind down time during the day and it has quickly become my fave time of the day!
The last thing I cannot go to sleep without is my essential oils sleep trio!! I apply cedarwood to the pads of my big toe, I put a drop or two of vetiver in my belly button and I put rutavala on the bridge of my nose. Honestly, lights out and I sleep like a log! Please ensure you are careful what essential oils you use, I will only use Young Living after extensive research into this topic.
If you don’t have oils yet, no biggie, just shoot me an email at hello@tsfcollective.com and I can help you get access to these oils. Don’t buy them randomly online or you wont have the benefits of my special member resources and gifts.
As always, reach out if you need some more help or info!
Happy sleeping xx
