The root chakra is located at the base of the spine in the tail bone area and is associated with physical identity, stability, grounding, courage, security, safety and boundaries. 

This area correlates to issues with finances, physical safety, career, needs, home and possessions and this chakra can be blocked by fear. 

A misalignment can appear as:

  • being lethargic
  • anxiousness or panic attacks
  • digestive problems
  • health problems in the colon, bladder and lower back
  • aches and pains in the lower abdomen and pelvis
