What do toxins do to us?
Toxins have become such a ‘normal’ part of our lives — they line the shelves of our supermarkets, sit in our cupboards, and the cupboards of our loved ones are likely full of them. They are even legally allowed to be in our food.
Whatever their specific names are, and whatever their specific effects in the body may be, they all fall into the broad category of toxins.
Toxins can contribute to inflammation, and inflammation is increasingly recognised as a contributing factor in many modern health challenges. Yet here we are routinely inhaling these ingredients and applying them to our own — and our children’s — skin, scalp, hair and nails, all while being sold the idea that it’s harmless.
Now, I understand this information can feel overwhelming and even a little stressful. Please remember — this isn’t about perfection, it’s about awareness and choice.
More information on the specific effects of common toxins, and what we can do to safeguard our families, is shared further below.
